Born and raised in Maple Valley, WA, I have made Oak Harbor my community for years now. Following a career of public service and education, I have enjoyed supporting the Oak Harbor community through support of the Oak Harbor School District and work with the Oak Harbor Youth Coalition.
As a Oak Harbor Community Coalition Coordinator, I have worked to plan and implement community and school based substance use prevention.
As a partner advisor for Oak Harbor High School's Community Awareness Peer Educators (CAPE), I have supported peer to peer training with United General for marijuana and tobacco prevention, supported student presentations on substance use prevention and healthy coping skills, and coordinated mentorship programs between the High School and neighboring elementary and middle schools.
As a school board member, it has been my mission to help set high standards and hold the school district accountable for academic achievement.
I have listened to families, staff, and students to ensure their needs and concerns are addressed.
